This land contains a long stretch of shoreline and stretches back some way through the Slate Woods.

Shores of Grey Aegis: Description
The stallion galloped across the white sands, head held high as he looked at the Silver Sentinels, two massive pillars of rock standing out above the forest, as if guarding their home land from some unseen threat. The grey sea lapped at his hooves, as his pillars carried him away towards the forest.
The trees, too, seemed to loom above his noble frame, motioning at him with their branches, Go back, stay out! A whisper on the wind.
He entered under their frantic branches and ran up to the cliff, the trees sheltering him from the horrific force of the wind. He came to the sheer face of rock and picked out a path, unknown to all but himself, and those who knew this land as if each owned it - the wind and rain.
As he climbed it became apparent that the strong winds were still building. He stumbled on the rocks, and the wind very quickly became so strong it threatened to rip him right away, carry him out to sea and be done with it. But instead they teased and taunted him, toyed with him until he reached the top.
He stood and looked out over the forest. The wind whipped at his mane and tossed it over his face and he shouted out to the forest, "Mine! These lands belong to me, unless any dare challenge me!" and the wind carried his voice out over the land.
From his vantage point he could see the whole forest as if he were flying above it. He saw the Chain Rocks, a group of large, white stones gathered in a circle. Each had a pair of chains, used for holding the arms of some long forgotten race in times gone by. He whickered as he thought about the the cruelty it would take to chain some beast down. He shook his head and called unto the wind to bring him rain. And it came, heavy at first and then heavier. It drenched him and he squealed with delight. The sea below him frothed and raged and he pranced around the Sentinel's head in some kind of insane dance, although he was totally sane...

As a sleek black figure glided through the night, flowers popped up randomly, then were immediatly killed off by the figure from whence it came. The scent of roses drifted around the vix, an orb of sweet parfume, dancing in tendrils on the thin night air. Tear shaped nares expanded to take in the scents of the stag. Her ooids flashed gently, and she calmed herself. Question like tones escaped her kissers as she neared the raging, seemingly insane in his ways.
Ello, sire. I am Photo, Lady of all lands?
Her tones emitted questions, which were actually statements. Her charming downfall was her tone of speech, the way she made every sentence, whether it be an exclamation, or a statement, a question of some sort. Of course, equuds knew not of proper grammer. She turned to eye up the stag after a moment of scanning over the strange lands. Black Crimson should be doing this, not her. A butterfly in a sea of wasps, she was.

I do not want you dubbance, so don't state it if you wish not to? If you wish to claim these lands, tis fine with me, but if you want something more than land to call your own, you must seek out Black Crimson?

Nares flared, the stag breathed deep, allowing sanity to flood over him, washing his strange mood away. He calmed immediately, and found himself looking at the mare.
"All I wish is this land and a herd of my own. I have travelled many years to reach this land, hearing of the equines who live here in perfect acceptance of each others differences. That I could live with others like me is a dream come true, and that I could help and guide them... That is better by far..." he whispered in quiet yet strong tones that carried despite their volume.
The rain died down and he pawed the ground, muscled pillars restless to take flight across the beach. He glanced from mare to sea, and back again, crystalline orbs swimming in her radiance and the beauty of the land below him.

Her violet ooids softened, slightly. Pupils focused on the stag in an unwavering gaze. Auds perked to catch the quiet tones. They drifted into them, thick with strength. Her tones lost their questioning peak, since she only used it upon greetings.
I am sorry to say, but not everyone can accept each other here. The elements strive, each one trying to be strong than the other. Most do not comprehend the rules of Yin and Yang.
She sighed sadly, realizing that what she said was true.

Tossing her arabian formed dial, she let her purple lined pupils to roam over him, then to fix on the sea. The wind teased her tresses, flicking them about in the tender air. She pulled her dial up and watched him for a lingering moment.
The wish that you have asked has been granted... I see purity in you.

She turned, but looked over her shoulder.
The world is not perfect. She said, before loping away.

The stag bowed his head, in his mind many emotions running high. Sadness glinted in his eyes, and his heart filled with doubt when he realized the truth in her words - The world truly was full of struggles, and they would always be there - yet he was grateful that he had been granted lands, for he had come all this way, and he would have had no where to rest his weary head had he been denied.
And he also felt another thing, a thing that he had not felt before. An understanding of the world he now grasped would make him stronger, he knew. And he would need strength to allow him to prevail over these lands, and those who would seek his downfall. Maybe this land would no be differant from his home...

He stared out at the sea. The churning made him happier, but it would be hard now to keep his spirits up.
Your words are true. But there are those who will strive to make it so, and though some may think it is impossible, you do not know impossible until you have looked into the eyes of a dream... he whispered back to her, gentle tones falling with the rain.
